Description
Master’s Thesis Editing: Advanced
Everything in Basic, plus the checks that committees and examiners actually penalise: weak argument flow, citations that cannot be verified, and statistics that are reported incorrectly. Best for most master’s candidates.
The problems that sink a master’s thesis late
- The reference that does not exist. AI tools and copied citation lists produce references with real-looking authors, journals and DOIs that no database can find. Committees and plagiarism checkers now look for them.
- The numbers that do not match. The abstract says 42%, the results table says 38%, the discussion says 40%. Examiners notice, and every mismatch weakens trust in the whole work.
- The test that does not fit the data. A t-test on skewed data, a missing correction for multiple comparisons, or an effect size that is never reported is a common reason for a major-revision decision.
- The argument that loses the reader. Chapters that are each fine alone, but do not connect, leave a committee asking what the thesis actually shows.
- The language that hides good work. Unclear sentences make sound research look weak, especially for writers working in a second language.
What’s Included
- Everything in Basic, plus:
- Substantive editing of argument, evidence and structure
- Context flow review: transitions, signposting and the link between aims, methods, results and conclusions
- Reference verification: every citation matched to a real, retrievable source by DOI and indexed databases

- Statistical reporting check: tests named, assumptions stated, p-values, effect sizes and confidence intervals reported correctly
- One round of committee-comment revision support
- Review of your revised draft
- Final quality report listing every flag and what was done
Best For
